One of my favorite places to spend time is outside in my flower gardens. It is there, amongst the birds, the flowers, the grass, and the trees that I find supreme JOY in the Garden!
I love the aroma of the wisteria and gardenias and the fresh cut grass. There is magnificent beauty in the tall palms, the hosta, the ferns and the multitude of containers brimming with colorful flowers.
In the garden, life is quiet and still. You can hear the gentle breeze, the birds singing and the water trickling over the rocks in the pond.
Take a stroll along the garden path. Sit a spell on a bench and watch the clouds. Breathe in the fresh air and just enjoy the nature that surrounds you.
In the garden, you will find JOY at its utmost beauty!

Your post brings beautiful and relaxing thoughts. I am not much of a gardener, yet, but I do love walking and sitting in the garden enjoying the beauty and quiet
Margaret, yes, you do not have to like to garden to appreciate the beauty of nature. Thanks for your comment.
Simply lovely 🌸. Thank you for taking me on a walk through your garden. I look forward to reading more of you 🌼
Thank you, Karletta! There’s lots more to come. Stay tuned.
I couldn’t agree more, there is nothing that calms me and makes me relax more than an evening watering of the gardening. It forces me to slow down and before I know it I feel the stresses of the day melt away. I love this post I can totally relate.
Jenn, thank you for your kind words. I, too, enjoy watering in the evening….. until it’s blazing hot!
This is a beautiful post. The way you describe your garden sounds so peaceful. I also find joy in nature, whether it’s just sitting in the back yard on a nice day hearing the birds or relaxing on the beach. I’ve started a small garden this year with fruits and vegetables and am enjoying watching its progress. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing, Darcey.
This is a lovely post. I love the picture too. Great bit of photography. There’s nothing better than a pretty garden. I’ m not one for getting my hands dirty but I do love to look out at it and enjoy what others have created!
Jen, enjoying the beauty of the garden was the point of my post. Have a joyful day!
Such a beautiful post! I love the local arboretum in my city. It’s a great way to relax and also to get inspired.
Caitie, I also love to visit public gardens. I take lots of photos there. I believe the calming effect of nature does inspire us. Thank you for your comment.
I definitely do not have a green thumb, but I enjoy seeing my neighbors garden and appreciate the time and effort. It brings me joy to see it and I know it brings her joy to work on it. Thanks for your post.
Krystee, your benefit is from watching her garden progress. Be the JOY!
You’re true, gardens offer the deepest peace and joy, simplicity..
Thank you so much for your sweet comment!
So true. There is so much joy in the sights, the smells, and the sounds found in a flower garden. They are so calming. Unlike my mom, who could grow anything, my endeavors are more hit-or-miss. But every year I keep planting, and feeding the birds and squirrels.
I have hit-or-miss endeavors also. I love my shady yard but I want plants that need sun. I try them but usually, they do not do well. The process keeps me busy and content!
Your post brings to mind such beauty and just thinking about a place in a garden relaxes me. I couldn’t help but think about the song “I come to the garden alone” as I was reading your post. Thanks for sharing.
Miranda, I also love that song.
Blessings!
Louise, A lovely post. I agree with all your shared thoughts.
