Welcome Spring – A promise of new beginnings…..
The daffodils are waving and the trees
The cold damp weather has turned to warm sunshine. New grass is emerging. The sights, smells, and sounds of the outside make me want to take my coffee out on the stone terrace and experience the magic of all the new beginnings. It is a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be. Spring brings a sense of hope, renewal,

NEW BEGINNINGS WITHIN OURSELVES
Spring seems to breathe new life into us. It cleanses our spirit and our hearts. There is the urge to make plans and start new projects. We feel a renewal of our own energies emerging. This is the time when we are called to flourish just like the blossoms on the cherry trees. There is an assurance that blessings are coming.
Pure JOY swells in my soul as I meander outside and ponder the beauty. It is almost healing to realize that spring comes after a long cold winter. Our lives are the same way. JOY comes onto our path after hard struggles and setbacks. Beauty is ahead if we patiently wait.

Look at the thoughts below and give them some consideration. Spring is a time for renewal of the earth and also a renewal of ourselves.
- What are your plans for spring? Will you plant flowers or vegetables in your garden? Will you install a birdhouse or clean out the shed?
- Is there a newness within yourself? Are you inspired to write a book or redecorate the guest room?
- How does the beauty of spring make you feel? Do you feel lighter or happier? Are you ready for a walk outside?

TAKE TIME FOR GRATITUDE
This would be a great time to make a new gratitude list in your journal. There is so much to be thankful for as we witness the coming of spring and the promise of new beginnings. Take time to recognize the beauty around you and list all the things that make you grateful to be alive.

Here are a few ideas to get you started.
I am thankful for the tulips and the baby birds.
I am thankful for the rain and the sunshine.
I am thankful to have time to spend outside.
I am thankful for the neighbors I encounter on my
morning walk.
I am thankful for water that refreshes me.

Spring is definitely my favorite season. After being inside for the last few months and bundled up against the cold, I am thrilled to go outside and enjoy nature. I’ll have my rake, a hoe and the weed bucket with me. Digging in the dirt reconnects me to the ground and makes me feel balanced.
There is the promise that new beginnings are on the way and all is well with my soul.

This is wonderful. What struck me about this blog post is how perfect it would be for an audio meditation. In your voice of course!
Katherine, what a marvelous idea! Thank you for the suggestion! Louise
Spring is calving season on our small farm. It’s so wonderful to see all those new babies running and bucking and playing in the newly green pastures with their little tails in the air.
Thanks for this lovely post! Spring is such a beautiful time of year!

What a great reminder to be mindful & thankful! My favorite season.
i agree with a comment you made in the post where you said you felt grounded in interacting with nature. i find that when i go outside without electronic to count my steps, nor music to block out the natural sounds around me, there is something calming about the entire experience.
Thank you for the lovely thought!
Ahhh gratitude, such a small thing that makes such a big difference, and I always tend to forget about that.
Beautifully written. I, too, wait impatiently for spring. My soul is rejuvenated, I look forward to the buds and blooms, and just plain old diggin’ in the dirt. My dad used to say he felt closest to God while he was in the garden. I’ve found that same peace.
Lovely post! I always look forward to spring and fall, those are my favorite times of year. Spring means everything feels new again, it’s very motivating and energizing!
Oh yes, I love spring! There is definitely a freshness in the air.
Spring always makes me feel inspired to start anew. In some ways even more so than January with all the new year resolution bustle. Thank you for sharing this lovely post. ❤️
I do believe the change of seasons does inspire us. I like the way you compared it to New Years. I need to remember that.
